Per Woofun AI, Humanity has officially unveiled a recovery protocol following a security breach, permanently deactivating the original H token across Ethereum, BNB Chain, and its mainnet. The team will deploy a new ERC-20 H token on Ethereum, distributing it at a 1:1 ratio to eligible holders. This new contract, which has passed a comprehensive security audit by Quantstamp, will serve as the sole valid asset in the future ecosystem.
To ensure equitable distribution, the project utilized a snapshot taken on June 8, 2026, at 17:25:35 UTC, capturing block heights 25,274,179 on Ethereum, 103,071,069 on BNB Chain, and 24,247,803 on Humanity Mainnet. Addresses linked to the attacker, identified as a North Korea-affiliated group, have been excluded from the airdrop. While externally owned accounts (EOAs) receive direct airdrops, assets in liquidity pools and smart contracts are held in a special fund for coordinated distribution.
Additionally, an H Token Compensation Fund has been established to address complex cases, requiring KYC and AML verification for all claims. Humanity plans to restart its mainnet in the coming weeks, utilizing the new H token as the native Gas token.
