Woofun AI reports that ficonTEC, an indirectly wholly-owned subsidiary of Robotechson, has disclosed continued progress in its strategic collaboration with NVIDIA. The partnership focuses on developing scalable manufacturing and testing solutions for next-generation Co-packaged Optics (CPO) and AI-driven optical interconnect infrastructure. This initiative leverages NVIDIA's leadership in AI infrastructure and CPO architecture alongside ficonTEC's 25 years of expertise in high-precision photon device alignment, automated assembly, and optical testing systems.

Concurrently, both entities are advancing advanced manufacturing methods to accelerate the industrialization of silicon photonics devices and optical engines for hyperscale AI data centers. ficonTEC emphasized that this collaboration underscores the critical role of an advanced photonics manufacturing ecosystem, noting that future large-scale AI infrastructure deployment will increasingly depend on systems capable of supporting high-volume production, process consistency, yield optimization, and the scaled implementation of optical interconnect technology.
