Per Woofun AI, Anthropic has disclosed a significant upgrade to its AI design and prototyping platform, Claude Design, aimed at eliminating friction between design and development pipelines. The core enhancement introduces deep bidirectional synchronization with the end-to-end development assistant, Claude Code. Developers can now utilize the '/design-sync' command within Claude Code to extract real-time design system specifications from local codebases and import them directly into Claude Design projects. Alternatively, the '/design' command enables terminal-based design creation and synchronization. This integration ensures that generated designs natively adhere to existing components and themes, allowing for single-click handoff to Claude Code for immediate implementation.

Concurrently, the design system import tool has been overhauled to support direct analysis of specifications from GitHub repositories, design files, or local codebases, featuring automatic validation prior to output. The editor interface now offers improved stability and granular layout controls, including drag-and-drop resizing and alignment capabilities, alongside support for PDF and PowerPoint exports. For enterprise management, a new Admin role has been introduced for Team and Enterprise plans, enabling design leads to lock official design systems to maintain brand consistency.

Additionally, usage quotas are now shared across other Claude products with optimized Token consumption. This update is currently available in beta for paid users on web and desktop platforms.
