Anthropic's geographic restrictions aim to mitigate 'distillation' risks, preventing domestic teams from training proprietary models by frequently querying advanced Western systems like Claude and ChatGPT. While multinational corporations often bypass such barriers through global contracts and overseas hosting, the recent actions by Wall Street banks signal that geopolitical term barriers are increasingly permeating financial institutions.
