Woofun AI reports that Moonshot AI has appointed Jin Wenyi, former Vice President of Internationalization at miHoYo, to oversee the commercialization of its core product, Kimi Intelligent Assistant. This strategic hire marks a significant shift for the domestic large-model startup as it transitions from technological accumulation to active market monetization.

Jin Wenyi joined miHoYo in 2017, where she constructed overseas distribution and localization frameworks from scratch. Under her leadership, the company established the HoYoverse brand, expanding 'Honkai Impact 3rd' to over 200 countries. She also guided the global launch of 'Genshin Impact,' which generated $245 million in its first month, alongside subsequent titles like 'Honkai: Star Rail.' Her departure in April was succeeded by Wang Yuyang. Now at Moonshot AI, Jin’s nearly ten years of global operations expertise aims to accelerate Kimi’s overseas expansion and revenue generation.
