Currently, over 4,000 data centers operate in the United States, with many more in development.

However, construction speeds for these facilities far outpace new power plant deployments, creating a bottleneck in grid connectivity. Major tech companies are aggressively securing power quotas as data centers currently consume approximately 5% of total U.S. electricity demand, a figure projected to rise to around 20% by 2035.
