The initiative schedules the commencement of protocol transformations in 2026, with the objective of establishing comprehensive 'quantum security' across the network by late 2027 or 2028.

The phased approach begins with the deployment of post-quantum account systems, multi-signature wallets, and staking support. Subsequent stages will involve the gradual migration of core protocol components, ensuring a seamless transition from the wallet layer to the underlying infrastructure.

Concurrently, other major ecosystems, including the Ethereum Foundation and Solana, have launched parallel research and migration initiatives to address similar quantum vulnerabilities.
