Per Woofun AI, Thai authorities executed a coordinated enforcement sweep across five northeastern provinces this Saturday. The Ministry of Interior, alongside provincial electricity agencies and police, inspected 14 locations in Ubon Ratchathani, Yasothorn, Nakhon Phanom, Roi Et, and Maha Sarakham.

The operation led to the confiscation of 315 Bitcoin mining rigs after investigators discovered operators were utilizing tampered electric meters and unauthorized connections. The total financial impact is estimated at 40.38 million baht, comprising approximately $1.227 million in unpaid bills and 5.38 million baht in theft-related fines. Legal proceedings have been initiated against those involved.
