Woofun AI reports that index provider MSCI assigned its lowest Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) rating of 'CCC' to SpaceX ahead of the company's record-breaking $75 billion initial public offering this month. The rating agency stated that this classification places the aerospace firm behind industry peers due to high-risk exposure and a failure to manage significant ESG risks.

Frédéric Ducoulombier, Director of the Climate Research Institute at EDHEC Business School, commented that the poor controversy assessment and extremely weak governance metrics should come as no surprise. He noted that for public market investors, the situation is very close to a governance horror story.
