Per Woofun AI, Circle has disclosed plans to deploy native USDC, EURC, and the Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP) on the Cronos blockchain. Cronos operates as an EVM-compatible Layer-1 network backed by Crypto.com, currently hosting a bridged variant of the stablecoin known as USDC.e.

Concurrently, Circle and the Cronos team intend to facilitate a gradual migration of liquidity toward the native asset, ensuring the existing bridged version remains operational without disruption. This integration will further empower the Cronos App to utilize native USDC for deposits and settlements, streamlining transactions across stocks, cryptocurrencies, and prediction markets.
