MoonPay reports the acquisition of AI accounting startup Entendre, marking a strategic expansion from crypto on/off-ramp services into enterprise back-office financial operations. Entendre specializes in developing AI agents that automate critical financial workflows, including reconciliation, treasury management, month-end closing, and journal entries for high-frequency crypto and fintech firms. CEO Ivan Soto-Wright emphasized that widespread stablecoin adoption requires financial operations to match the speed and automation of payment systems. The Entendre platform and team will be immediately integrated into MoonPay, ensuring continuity for existing clients such as Polygon Labs, Thirdweb, Brale, Babylon Labs, Ostium, Courtyard, and DoubleZero.

This transaction follows a series of strategic acquisitions by MoonPay this year, including cross-chain routing provider Decent.xyz, Solana trading infrastructure firm DFlow, AI trading tool Dawn, and key management company Sodot. These moves collectively strengthen MoonPay's infrastructure stack across payments, trading, and financial operations.
