This strategic expansion allows existing clients to leverage AI-driven portfolio analysis and market research without incurring additional fees. The update significantly broadens the scope of AI-assisted trading, now encompassing Options, Futures, and Futures Options alongside traditional stocks and ETFs.

The functionality is deployed across IBKR’s core platforms, including the Client Portal, IBKR Desktop, IBKR Mobile, and Trader Workstation (TWS). To mitigate execution risk, IBKR employs a 'human-in-the-middle' security framework where AI-generated instructions serve as non-binding drafts stored in the 'AI Instructions' tab. Users must manually validate each trade before execution.

Furthermore, the authentication connector is managed directly by IBKR, ensuring that account passwords and API keys remain isolated from third-party AI providers, with users retaining the ability to revoke access at any time.
