Circle Integrates Native USDC, EURC, And CCTP Support On Cronos Blockchain
2026-06-24 02:20

Circle disclosed that native USDC, EURC, and Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP) support will soon launch on Cronos, the EVM-compatible Layer-1 blockchain developed by Crypto.com. This integration introduces stablecoin infrastructure that facilitates payments, trading, DeFi, prediction markets, treasury management, and agent-based workflows. Developers currently have access to testing environments to evaluate these new capabilities.

Native USDC and EURC on Cronos will offer direct redemption at a 1:1 ratio for USD and EUR, ensuring full reserve backing and MiCA compliance features. The deployment of Circle's CCTP enables users to transfer native USDC between supported blockchains without relying on third-party bridges. Initial access is targeted at eligible institutional traders and teams, providing fiat onramps, offramps, deposits, withdrawals, and API connectivity.

Meanwhile, Cronos continues to support bridged USDC (USDC.e), with the team planning to migrate liquidity toward native assets while maintaining normal operations for existing bridged tokens. Developers can utilize free testnet USDC and EURC from Circle’s Faucet to test fund flows.
