US Leveraged ETF AUM Hits Record $198 Billion as TQQQ and SOXL Surge to Historic Peaks

Data compiled by Woofun AI shows that US leveraged ETF assets under management have surged to a historic high of $198 billion, marking a 55% increase since April. This expansion reflects unprecedented levels of investor leverage usage, with major tech-focused funds driving the aggregate growth.

The 3x long Nasdaq 100 Index ETF TQQQ has seen its AUM rise to approximately $40 billion, nearing previous peaks, while the 3x long Semiconductor ETF SOXL reached a record $34 billion. Since April, SOXL’s AUM has tripled, and TQQQ’s has nearly doubled.

Concurrently, the 2x long Nasdaq 100 Index ETF QLD added $7 billion, an 88% increase, approaching its historical high of $15 billion.
