Ripple Secures MiCA Preliminary Approval For EEA Expansion

Woofun AI reports that Ripple has obtained preliminary authorization for a Crypto Asset Service Provider license in Luxembourg under the EU’s MiCA regulation. The Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier issued a Green Light Letter, permitting expansion of regulated services across all 30 European Economic Area countries subject to final conditions.

This CASP license complements Ripple’s existing Electronic Money Institution license, allowing the firm to provide collection, exchange, and payout services to banks and corporates through a single integration. Once finalized, the approval ensures full MiCA compliance and facilitates a complete rollout of Ripple Payments, which has processed over $100 billion in volume across more than 60 markets.
