Woofun AI reports that Micron CEO Sanjay Mehrotra identified accelerating progress in simulation, foundational models, and integrated software-hardware stacks as key drivers for Physical AI development. This evolution creates expanding opportunities for high-bandwidth, low-power storage and memory devices necessary to support real-time perception, inference, and control functions.

Mehrotra noted that the onboard storage capacity of humanoid robots is ten times greater than that of an average Level 2+ autonomous vehicle. Consequently, a sustained and sizable multi-decade storage demand cycle is anticipated to commence in the latter portion of this decade.
