Woofun AI reports that Amazon has committed an additional $13 billion to expand its artificial intelligence and cloud computing infrastructure in India. This injection brings the company's total investment commitment in the region to $48 billion between 2026 and 2030, building upon a previously announced $35 billion plan for 2025.

The new capital will primarily fund the expansion of AWS data center capacity in Mumbai and Hyderabad. Amazon intends to provide customized AI chips, AI hosting services, and cloud technology support for local startups, enterprises, and government agencies.

Furthermore, the company plans to establish more than 20 operational centers and over 100 distribution stations across India this year to strengthen its e-commerce and logistics presence. By 2030, Amazon's cumulative total investment in India is projected to exceed $88 billion.
