Meanwhile, the South Korean KOSPI index dropped by 519.1 points, down 5.81%, to 8411.2 points, after experiencing an intraday plunge of nearly 9%. Major tech stocks led the selloff, with SK Hynix falling by over 8% and Samsung Electronics declining by more than 5%. For the week, the KOSPI index recorded a 7.1% drop, marking its largest weekly decline since early March.
