Woofun AI reports that Espresso, alongside Succinct, Ron Rothblum, and William Wang, has released the SNARK proofer Flock. This tool generates signature hashes for a single Bitcoin block within 2.5 seconds, marking a significant speed advancement. On Apple M4 Max laptops, Flock executes 661,000 Blake3 and 338,000 SHA-256 compression operations per second. Its SHA-256 performance is nine times faster than Binius64, while Blake3 speed is 14 times superior to Binius64 and Plonky3. The system operates at three times the speed of the Ethereum post-quantum benchmark proposed by Vitalik Buterin. Developed using AI tools like Claude Opus 4.7 and 4.8, Flock remains in the research phase and is now open-source.
