Woofun AI reports that Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Wash has appointed Daniel Kovitz and Eric Enstrom as senior advisors. Both economists are veterans with nearly 30 years of service at the central bank. Kovitz serves as a deputy director in the Research and Statistics Department, while Enstrom is the senior associate director in the Monetary Affairs Division.
Wash also established five special working groups to review communication, data analysis, and asset portfolio management. These groups will combine external experts with internal Fed subject matter experts. Kovitz previously supported Wash during his governor tenure (2006-2011) with research on financial stability. Enstrom specializes in monetary policy and recently modeled economic scenarios, noting that long-term bond yield rises during rate cuts reflect supply shock risks and deficit expansion rather than lost confidence in the Fed's 2% inflation target.
