Woofun AI reports that Samsung Group and SK Group are preparing to unveil a joint investment strategy totaling up to 200 trillion South Korean won, equivalent to approximately $1.3 trillion, spanning the next ten years. This initiative aligns with South Korea's flagship industrial policy, with Samsung and SK Hynix each expected to construct four to five semiconductor fabrication plants in the Gwangju region.
Furthermore, Samsung intends to establish a chip packaging facility in South Chungcheong Province, while SK Hynix plans to expand its existing NAND production site in North Chungcheong Province.
