Nikkei 225 Surges 1.06% and KOSPI Rises 0.77% in Monday Open

Woofun AI data shows that the Nikkei 225 index opened 1.06% higher, adding 734.46 points to reach 70,202.57. The South Korean KOSPI index also rose 0.77%, gaining 64.56 points to stand at 8,459.21.

Individual equities saw Samsung Electronics increase by 2% while SK Hynix advanced by 1%.
