Woofun AI reports that Zhu Tianhang, former head of Reinforcement Learning at Alibaba's Qwen project, has joined US AI agent startup Fundamental Research Labs (FRL). Previously known as Altera, FRL now employs Zhu for large-scale model training, a role he has held for approximately 18 months. Zhu stated he intends to open-source his practical experience in training models for spreadsheets and the financial sector. He also previously led RL training efforts at Zero One AI.
