Samsung Unveils 2nm Process and Expands AI Semiconductor Ecosystem Cooperation in Korea

Woofun AI reports that Samsung Electronics disclosed its next-generation 2nm process technology, DTCO techniques, and high-performance SRAM roadmap. The company outlined strategies to broaden AI semiconductor ecosystem cooperation in South Korea and advance foundry technologies. Samsung stated it will enhance communication with customers and partners to strengthen its platform role within the Korean system semiconductor industry beyond foundry production.

Rebellions, a South Korean AI fabless firm, announced the development of the REBEL100 NPU using Samsung's 4nm process and advanced packaging, confirming ongoing collaboration. Samsung is also joining the M.AX Alliance led by Korea's Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy to promote low-power, high-performance on-device AI semiconductors for automotive, home appliance, robotics, and defense sectors. The company will continue supporting the MPW program to reduce sample production burdens for Korean fabless companies and the K-CHIPS talent cultivation initiative.
