Cheng stated that he has closely followed Morpho since its 2023 launch and spent over two years developing Monarch, a product built on the protocol.

Upon joining Morpho, Cheng will continue to maintain the Monarch project in his personal time. He plans to gradually transfer the project to other developers within the Morpho ecosystem over the coming months to ensure its ongoing operation as an independent platform.
