South Korea Announces 312 Trillion Won Investment Plan for Semiconductors and Aerospace

Woofun AI reports that South Korea’s Ministry of Economy and Finance has announced a 312 trillion won ($204 billion) investment initiative focused on the southeastern Yeongnam region. The plan targets advanced manufacturing and AI industries, with SK Group, Samsung, Hanwha, and Hyundai Motor committing 140 trillion, 60 trillion, 55 trillion, and 42 trillion won respectively. LG and Doosan are also set to contribute.

Additionally, a national aerospace strategy centered on Sacheon aims to establish a southern coastal industry belt.
