Meta is negotiating a next-generation ASIC design and production contract worth over 10 trillion Korean won, planning to shift its third-generation MTIA accelerator from TSMC to Samsung's advanced 2-nanometer process for large-scale production. Samsung's System LSI division is jointly conducting early chip architecture design to align with Meta's rapid six-month development cycle.

Anthropic is evaluating Samsung's 2-nanometer process for exclusive ASIC development to advance internal AI infrastructure. With AI chip orders from global tech giants and ongoing automotive chip foundry negotiations with BYD, Samsung's foundry business approaches a medium to long-term order reserve of 50 trillion Korean won. The division is likely to turn a profit in operating income in the fourth quarter of this year.
