The enforcement action resulted in the shutdown of the facility and the detention of two foreign nationals, aged 20 and 31, alongside the confiscation of mining hardware.
Under Malaysian legislation, the operation breached the Penal Code and the Electricity Supply Act. If convicted, the detained individuals may be sentenced to a maximum of ten years imprisonment and fined 100,000 Malaysian Ringgit, equivalent to approximately $24,500.
