Woofun AI reports that Kioxia Holdings has begun distributing samples of its next-generation flash memory chips to operators of AI data centers. The Tokyo-based manufacturer aims to secure a competitive advantage in the high-value storage market.

The company stated that its latest high-density 3D flash memory chips feature enhanced energy efficiency and faster data transfer speeds. Specifically, the new 332-layer, 10th-generation flash memory chip offers a 59% increase in storage capacity compared to its predecessor, the 8th-generation flagship product.
