The suspects executed a "Rip Deal" scam by luring a wealthy couple from Ramatuelle to Milan under the guise of facilitating luxury home purchases, then demanding a 1.5 million euro transaction guarantee fee in crypto. During the encounter, the pair utilized hidden cameras to record the victims' account details and private keys, enabling them to transfer the stolen assets. Authorities apprehended the suspects in Cavalaire and confiscated properties valued at 1.9 million euros. Both individuals, who have prior fraud convictions, are scheduled for trial on September 1 on charges related to organized gang fraud.
