Woofun AI reports that South Korean Chief of Staff Kang Hoon-sik announced on July 5 the Lee Jae-myung government's plan to establish a "Future Response Fund". The initiative utilizes additional tax revenue from the semiconductor boom to finance three major super projects: semiconductors, physical AI, and data centers.

The fund aims to cultivate new growth momentum, address "K-shaped" economic polarization, and provide housing, entrepreneurship, and employment support for individuals aged 20 to 30. Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix, and government agencies intend to invest hundreds of billions of dollars in these sectors to enhance global competitiveness in chips and AI while promoting balanced development outside the capital region.
