Woofun AI data shows that US technology companies have secured a record $850 billion in data center lease commitments for the coming years. This figure represents a $570 billion year-over-year increase, marking a 204% surge, and a sequential rise of $200 billion or 31%.

Meta added $79 billion in new commitments during the first quarter of 2026, a 76% sequential increase, bringing its total to approximately $183 billion. Microsoft added $41 billion in the same period, up 26% sequentially, with total commitments reaching around $197 billion. Oracle maintains the lead with approximately $250 billion in total commitments, having secured key sites to fulfill its contract with OpenAI.
