Woofun AI reports that Sign has entered into a partnership with the National Digital Identity Authority (Bhutan NDI), a subsidiary of Bhutan's Sovereign Wealth Fund Druk Holding & Investment (DHI). The collaboration aims to establish a secure, inclusive, and interoperable sovereign digital identity and Verifiable Credentials system intended for government use worldwide.

This agreement follows a Memorandum of Understanding signed on June 18th between the SIGN Foundation, Bhutan NDI, and Sierra Leone's Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. That earlier pact focused on designing and implementing Sierra Leone's national digital identity platform using open-source technology and W3C-compliant Verifiable Credentials to ensure privacy and data sovereignty.
