Woofun AI reports that the European Central Bank has instructed banks to submit action plans addressing cybersecurity threats from advanced AI models like Anthropic's Claude Mythos by late October. Chief Supervisory Officer Claudia Buch urged institutions to accelerate software patches, strengthen AI defenses, and enhance third-party vendor oversight.

ECB President Christine Lagarde previously warned that AI could trigger a financial crisis, requiring substantial investment in countermeasures. The ECB recently conducted severe scenario cyber attack tests on 109 banks, noting that most identified vulnerabilities have been resolved.
