Woofun AI reports that AI startup Perplexity has confirmed the purchase of NVIDIA's latest Vera CPU, a processor engineered specifically for AI agents. The chip achieves a 1.5x performance increase over traditional CPUs when executing autoML tasks, addressing computational bottlenecks caused by continuous tool calling and code execution.

NVIDIA projects that this new CPU line will generate $20 billion in revenue during the current fiscal year. Major industry players including OpenAI, Anthropic, and Oracle have also indicated plans to procure the hardware, signaling a shift away from traditional processors designed for human-centric work patterns.
