Secret Network Plans Arbitrum Migration With Sept 1 Snapshot
2026-07-08 12:58

Woofun AI reports that Secret Network has announced a partnership with Arbitrum to migrate its SCRT token. A one-time snapshot of holdings will be taken on September 1, 2026, covering native and staked SCRT, while excluding sSCRT, contract-held, or cross-chain tokens. Holders must convert excluded assets back to native or staked forms before the snapshot date. Following the snapshot, a new ERC-20 version of SCRT will be issued on Arbitrum, allowing holders to claim tokens via Merkle root proofs without pre-deposits or withdrawal deadlines.

Additionally, the team proposed reducing the SCRT inflation rate from 9% to 5%. If approved through community governance, SCRT Labs will cease maintaining the network and release its code under a permissive open-source license. This proposal remains pending on-chain voting confirmation.
