Woofun AI reports that oil tanker traffic in the Strait of Hormuz has "practically come to a standstill" as the 60-day ceasefire between the United States and Iran faces uncertainty. Jorge León, head of geopolitical analysis at Rystad, stated that traffic appears completely halted, noting this stagnation reflects current risk perceptions more accurately than official statements from Washington or Tehran.
To date, only four oil tankers have transited the strait. Navin Das, senior oil analyst at Kpler, highlighted that since the June 17 ceasefire agreement, an average of 32 tankers passed daily. This volume is nearly triple the average from February until mid-June but remains significantly below pre-conflict levels.
