Woofun AI reports that Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed a decree on "Measures to Stimulate and Develop the Digital Asset Industry," permitting enterprises and state bodies to utilize stablecoins for international payments. The legislation aims to expand import and export channels by researching crypto payment mechanisms while exempting individuals from personal income tax on transactions via state-regulated infrastructure. Users are encouraged to migrate assets from unregulated overseas platforms to local providers.
Furthermore, the decree limits the use of associated natural gas for mining, allowing it only if it is not required to meet national needs. The Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry, the central bank, and the Astana International Financial Centre jointly drafted the measure.
