Woofun AI reports that Block has agreed to a $45 million settlement with regulatory authorities in nearly 50 U.S. states. Regulators previously alleged that Cash App exaggerated its security measures by claiming bank-level protection while failing to prevent fraud or provide adequate support.

Under the settlement terms, Block is required to enhance customer service, provide round-the-clock support, and cease making misleading statements regarding the platform's security capabilities.
