Woofun AI reports that Micron Technology shares gained over 4% in pre-market trading, reaching $989.49. The price movement follows the announcement of a 1.5 trillion yen expansion at the company's Hiroshima facility in Japan.

The project aims to commence mass production of advanced memory products, including HBM, from 2028. Supply to key clients such as Nvidia is scheduled to begin in the summer of 2028. The Japanese government will contribute up to 536 billion yen in subsidies to support the initiative.
