Woofun AI reports that on-chain investigator Specter issued a community security alert, warning of potential fund misappropriation risk in the CodexField project on the BNB Chain. On-chain tracking shows that the project has raised over $85 million. The investigation highlights an abnormal transfer of $17.3 million USDT from the TRON network to Ethereum, subsequently swapped to DAI on Polygon via Bitget Swap. While $6.5 million has completed the transfer, $10.8 million remains in transit. The source wallet, linked to CodexField's deposit contract, originally bridged these funds from Ethereum to TRON approximately six months ago. Specter noted that despite Blocksec MetaSuites flagging the deposit contract as "Fake CodexField," after further investigation, Specter believes the contract is actually operated by the CodexField team. The project uses multiple domains and subdomains to receive user deposits, with the team previously sharing these domains on official channels. The fund movement of the project is unusual, deviating from standard fund management practices, involving cross-chain bridging, routing through intermediary wallets, and ultimately ending up on a centralized exchange. It is advised that any user interacting with CodexField exercise extreme caution until the team provides a transparent explanation of the fund flow.
