Woofun AI reports that OpenAI has launched ChatGPT Work, a new agent powered by Codex and GPT-5.6 capable of executing entire workflows. Users define goals, allowing the system to access connected applications and files to generate documents, spreadsheets, presentations, analysis reports, and web apps.

The agent integrates with Slack, Microsoft Teams, Google Drive, SharePoint, email, calendar, CRM, and project management tools, enabling context extraction via @ mentions. On the desktop, the Codex app merges into the new ChatGPT client, offering Chat, Work, Codex, and a built-in browser. ChatGPT Work is currently available to Pro, Enterprise, and Education users, with Plus and Business access arriving soon. Desktop features are open to all tiers, including free users.
