Woofun AI reports that Binance co-CEO Richard Teng stated the exchange plans to secure additional regulatory licenses and partnerships in Asia this year. Updates on these initiatives will be released progressively throughout the year. Binance has already entered markets including Japan and India, and recently expanded into the Philippines via a partnership with BlockShoals Technologies. Regarding European Union regulations, Teng clarified that the withdrawal of the MiCA license application in Greece last month resulted from approval delays rather than a strategic shift, noting ongoing communication with EU regulators. Approximately one-quarter of Binance’s global workforce is assigned to compliance, with annual expenses exceeding $300 million. Teng indicated that Binance currently serves 323 million users worldwide and aims to reach 3 billion by 2030. He also predicted increased tokenization of traditional financial assets on blockchain networks.
