Woofun AI reports that the U.S. Department of Justice has indicted Rossen Iossifov, founder of RG Coins, for allegedly transferring approximately $290,000 in forfeited cryptocurrency assets while incarcerated. Prosecutors allege that Iossifov violated a court order by conspiring to move the funds through multiple exchanges and coin mixing services to evade seizure during his federal prison term until January 2024.

Iossifov was previously convicted in 2021 of laundering nearly $5 million and aiding a Romanian cyber fraud gang, resulting in an 111-month prison sentence and a restitution order exceeding $2.6 million. If convicted on the new charges, he faces an additional 25 years in prison.
