Woofun AI reports that OpenAI's Head of Core Product Tibo confirmed combined active users for Codex and ChatGPT Work have reached 6 million. This follows Axios reporting in early June that weekly active users had surpassed 5 million, a growth of over 6 times since the desktop version was released in February.

OpenAI will temporarily remove the 5-hour usage limit on Plus, Business, and Pro plans, with a one-time quota reset.

Additionally, usage calculations for GPT-5.6 Sol are being adjusted to reduce quota consumption for similar tasks, though specific reduction amounts remain undisclosed.
