Woofun AI reports that foreign investors have executed net sales of nearly $110 billion in South Korean equities year-to-date, marking a historical high. This capital outflow stems from portfolio rebalancing amid rapid market appreciation, transferring acquisition responsibility to domestic retail participants.

Retail investors purchased 13.2 trillion won in KOSPI stocks this month, following a 42.4 trillion won investment in June. As of July 14, retail financing for KOSPI investments totaled 28 trillion won, down from the previous peak of 29.8 trillion won recorded on June 24. CLSA France chief equity strategist Alexander Redman stated, "South Korea remains the market with the highest overweight allocation in our portfolios, but I have already started reducing my holdings. What concerns me is that the market is currently dominated by retail investors, who rely heavily on margin trading."
