Woofun AI reports that SK Hynix has commenced procurement of advanced DRAM manufacturing equipment for its Yongin Y1 facility in South Korea. The company intends to accelerate the commencement of Y1 Phase 1 from the originally scheduled May to February next year. Construction of a pilot production line will begin in February, with large-scale equipment installation following in March and April. The facility aims for an initial monthly capacity of approximately 20,000 wafers, targeting sixth-generation 10-nanometer class 1c DRAM for AI server DDR and LPDDR products, as well as next-generation HBM4E applications.
