Woofun AI data shows that the National Federation of Independent Business small business optimism index increased by 2.1 points to 97.4 in June, approaching the 52-year average of 98.0. The survey's uncertainty index fell by 2 points to 89, yet it stays well above the historical average of 68.

The share of owners citing inflation as the top concern reached its highest level in nearly two years, and more firms reported raising average selling prices. NFIB chief economist Bill Dunkelberg stated that lower fuel costs offered relief, though challenges persist, with companies anticipating improved operating conditions over the next six months.
