Woofun AI reports that Nous Research, the developer of the open-source AI agent Hermes, has closed a financing round of at least $75 million. The transaction establishes a post-money valuation of $1.5 billion for the company.

Robot Ventures led the investment, with participation from Union Square Ventures and other institutions. The firm’s flagship product, Hermes, is an open-source local AI agent supporting web search and code generation on personal computers and virtual servers. The project currently holds 214,000 stars and nearly 40,000 forks on GitHub.
