Woofun AI reports that Drips Network suffered a loss of 24,900 DAI stemming from an integer type conversion vulnerability within the give function of its DaiDripsHub contract. The exploit occurred because the code failed to verify that the amount remained within int128 limits when converting from uint128. Attackers inputted a value of 2^128 minus the reserve balance, causing the converted integer to become negative. This manipulation reversed the transaction logic, turning user payments into withdrawals from reserves and depleting the funds.
